Hi, I’m Lisa and I love to cook! I am a massage therapist by trade, I dabble with essential oils. I’m certified in Reiki I, and Reflexology. I have an associates degree with a concentration in science. I am a Nutrition Coach through the NASM (National Association of Sports Medicine) and AFPA certified in Plant-based Nutrition.
I have two boys, 3 dogs, and 4 cats. After my husband passed away I decided to follow a new dream.
In 1998 I started having a severe intolerance to gluten. When my husband became diabetic, we had another dietary change. A year later he was stricken with stage 4 brain cancer. Now we had to remove foods that caused inflammation in the body. As if that was not enough, I have recently become intolerant to dairy.
In 2019 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and decided to make even more dietary changes. I cut out beef because it causes inflammation and pork was causing me issues as well. I began researching foods that cause inflammation, which you want to avoid with cancer. Everything I read said to stick to a plant based diet in order to reduce the chances of the cancer from coming back.
Now my diet is gluten free, dairy free, and soy free. I stick to wild caught fish, eggs and meat alternatives. Most of our meals are vegetarian or vegan now
I know how devastating it can be to have to change your diet dramatically. If you don’t cook it can be even more of a challenge. I am here to help you navigate these crazy diets as it can be overwhelming.
