Looking for a healthy dessert? Strawberry Yogurt Parfait is the perfect dessert. This is so deliciously light and healthy that you can eat it for breakfast or dessert.
The parfait originated in France in 1894. The word parfait means “perfect” for the perfect dessert. A parfait has layers of ice cream or yogurt, fruit, and granola.
I make my own granola so I know what is going into it. When I show you how easy it is you will be inclined to make your own.
INGREDIENTS FOR GRANOLA
- 2 c gluten free oats
- flax seeds
- sliced almonds
- 1/4 c vegetable oil
- 1/2 c gluten free honey
- 1/4 tsp salt
If you don’t want to make your own granola for the Strawberry Yogurt Parfait, just buy a bag of your favorite granola. There is no shame in using bagged granola!
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees
In a bowl add the oats, flax seeds, sliced almonds, and salt. Add the honey and canola oil in a small pot or measuring cup. It needs to be heated for a few minutes so you can stir it together. Once it is warm, stir it and pour over the oat mixture, and stir up to combine.
Line a baking sheet or bottom half of a broiling pan with parchment paper. Spread the oat mixture out across the pan.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, remove from the oven and let it sit for 15 minutes to cool.

- 1 container of fresh strawberries
- gluten free dairy free vanilla yogurt
- granola (recipe below)

Get out some cups that you can layer things in. You want to have enough room to layer everything twice.
Start with putting an inch of granola on the bottom. Now add a layer of yogurt. Last but certainly not least add the berries. Repeat these layers one more time. I added a little more granola over the fruit. You can top the Strawberry Yogurt Parfait with a big strawberry or some almond whipped cream.
