Making gluten free dairy free chicken wings is easier than you think. My son and I love chicken wings. I have made them several different ways. You can bake them, fry them, and even grill them. I have also tried various sauces on them to change it up. Try and Asian sauce or sweet and sour sauce.
INGREDIENTS – Chicken Wings
- 15 pieces chicken wings
- 2 cups gluten free flour
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 tablespoon pepper
- cayenne pepper – 1/4 tablespoon plus depending on how hot you like it
- vegetable oil
To fry the chicken wings, fill a medium sized pot with enough oil to fill the pot half way. It is better to have too much oil then not enough because when you add room temperature oil to your pot it will bring the temperature down. I usually check my oil temperature by putting in a bit of flour to see if it starts to fry. You want to make sure it is hot enough or the chicken will soak up the oil.
The first thing you want to do is cut you wings apart. You can also buy them already cut. In a zip bag add flour, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. If you don’t like spicy chicken wings then leave out the cayenne pepper. Put the chicken wings on a baking sheet and let them dry out for an hour.
Once the pot is hot enough you can start adding the chicken wings to the pot. Cook them in batches so you don’t crowd the pan. They should take about 5-6 minutes to cook. Take the wings out and drain them on paper towels.
Once the wings are drained you can coat them with your favorite hot sauce. If you don’t like hot sauce then use your favorite barbeque sauce.
Serve the chicken wings with blue cheese dressing.
