This granola recipe is super simple and very quick to make. The recipe is so simple it will leave you wondering why you haven’t been making your own all along. It only takes about 10-12 minutes to bake.
You can make bars or just granola pieces that you can sprinkle on top of just about anything. Today I make this as part of our breakfast. Like I said it only takes minutes to mix up and get on a pan. It is in the oven while you are making the rest of your breakfast. Yes, it is really that easy!

INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup gluten free oats (Bob’s Red Mill)
- 1/8 cup flax seeds
- 1/4 cup of almonds, sliced
- 1/4 cup gluten free honey
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- parchment paper
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Line a pan with parchment paper.
Measure out the oatmeal, nuts, and seeds into a bowl. In a small pan, add the honey and canola oil. Heat this mixture up until they are warm. Pour this mixture over the oatmeal mixture and stir well to coat.
Dump the mixture onto the parchment paper and spread it out into a thin layer. Place in the oven for 10-12 minutes. At 5 minutes mix around and then spread back out again. Cook for an another 5 minutes or until light golden brown color.
Let the granola cool for about 15 minutes and then break it up and use it how you choose. It is a very versatile topping!
My purpose for making the granola this morning was to put over top of my waffles. You can also put in your yogurt, over top of fruit, or just put it in your mouth.
