Avocado sauce makes a nice compliment to chili, tacos, and many other things. Avocado crema is really enjoyable, but I was out of sour cream. Nonetheless, I wanted some sort of avocado topping, so I just made due.
Avocados made a great addition to any diet. They are an integral part of a plant-based, vegan, and vegetarian diet. The health benefits of avocados are plentiful.
Additionally, they are a very versatile fruit. For example, you can add them into smoothies, make avocado ice cream, avocado pudding, and add them to a salad to name a few.
Health Benefits of Avocados
Avocados contain an abundance of necessary nutrients for the body. These little green beauties are rich in vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin B6, potassium, magnesium, folate, fiber and healthy fats.
Although avocados are high in fat, it contains mostly monounsaturated fat which is considered a “good” fat. Unsaturated fats help lower LDL (bad) cholesterol and increase HDL (good) cholesterol. Avocados may also help to lower the risk of heart disease, control blood sugar and reduce inflammation.
For optimal health everyone should try to incorporate foods that reduce inflammation as they help to prevent the onset of chronic disease.
